Education Choices

Most parents want to be sure, when they're giving up their jobs at Home Health Care Edmonton and moving across the country, that their new city is going to offer their children the opportunity to get a quality education. Whether you're that parent worrying about their child or that child looking to explore your options for post secondary studies, we think you'll be pleased with what Kingston, Ontario has to offer. It has one of the highest concentrations of PhD holders in the country because it's got lots of great education options. Here's a brief run down of them.

Schools

Children attending grade school through high school in Kingston, which is served by the Limestone school board district, will have a lot of options when it comes to deciding what kind of school they want to go to. You can do heating waterdown science projects anywhere, but only in Ontario do you have the choice of studying in the secular English system, the secular French system, the Catholic English system, or the Catholic French system, because the city is served by not one but four different school boards.

Royal Military College

RMC is one of the pillars of the Kingston community and has been around since 1876. At RMC, students who have enrolled in the Canadian military get free university educations that can lead to them becoming cosmetic dentists in Toronto once they complete their mandatory service periods. This is a great option for anyone who can't otherwise afford to go to university or who aims for a career in the Canadian military. Students who graduate from RMC do so not just with a degree in their field but also a certificate of bilingualism and an officer's commission in the Canadian Forces.

Queen's University

Queen's University is actually even older than RMC, having been founded in 1841. It's also one of the most respected colleges in Canada and is a part of the informal Canadian Ivy League. The campus is renowned for its neo gothic architecture and a degree from this school is almost a guarantee of success as a Richmond Hill optometrist or whatever the student wants. There are over 20,000 students studying in 18 faculties at any given time from music to engineering and the admission standards are high.

St. Lawrence College

If you're not interested in spending four years of your life in academic pursuits or joining the military, St. Lawrence College may be the best option for you. Graduates of the college sport certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in fields like business, nursing, computers, or skilled trades that could see you in a well paying job at a Toronto sports clinic in only a couple of years.
